It has notable strengths in engineering, cybersecurity, computer science, business, energy-related fields, and selected humanities and social sciences.

Tulsa appeals to students who want meaningful merit aid, faculty access, and the chance to stand out early through research, leadership, and internships. Its smaller size can be especially appealing to students who want more direct support than they might find at a large flagship.
