The campus culture combines strong community values with large-school energy. Students often talk about service, school pride, athletics, and a sense that Virginia Tech wants students to contribute rather than simply consume opportunities.

Virginia Tech is usually best for students who want applied rigor and who are excited by a campus where engineering and design thinking shape the tone of the university as a whole.
